First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze was originally formed in 1957 to reach the community and further the reach of the Gospel.

In September 2011, Storypoint Church began as a contemporary service option in addition to our traditional service. This service allowed us to offer a different service style to reach a new demographic. In early 2024, we retired the name Storypoint Church to unify all of our services under the name First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. 

In 2006, Pastor Gabriel Vargas was called to plant a Hispanic church in Gulf Breeze. Pastor Gabriel began serving at First Baptist as a church member and deacon in 2008, and through a partnership between First Baptist and the Florida Baptist Convention, Mision Casa was born in 2011.
